Here are a few shots of the CFC group at the Warrior Dash, at Windham Mountain, from this past weekend. In attendance from the gym were Greg D, Josh C, Jess C, Dave S, Claudine G, and Kevin Z. Everyone had an incredible time, and we’re hoping to have an even bigger group next year … with matching viking uniforms … or maybe just t-shirts!

Before we knew what we were getting ourselves into.
After we realized we would most certainly be back next year!
Outside the restaurant, about to enjoy some hard-earned brews.
Enjoying those hard-earned brews!
Vacation does not mean you still can’t CrossFit! Testing out our upcoming WOD “Lyme Disease”; Guinea Pigs included Jay & Michelle, Brian (web site guy) & Julie, and me & Vilma at the Lyme School.
Photos from the CrossFit Concept 2 Rowing Certification, held at CrossFit USA on Jan 23, 2010. CFC Coaches Greg Dillon and Marianne Urbanski attended this one day seminar presented by Angela Hart, a CrossFit Level II Instructor and Concept 2 Master Instructor. We received instruction in rowing technique and fundamentals, workout programming, and even maintenance of the rowers. I know, between the morning WOD and the afternoon WOD, I rowed more in one day than I had in any one week prior to this cert. Attendeed ranged from area CrossFits, to as far away as VA and FL.
Suffice to say a lot of people likely turned in early Saturday night. Angela is an enthusiastic and personable instructor, who gave hands on, personal instruction to each attendee. The last WOD of the day certainly reinforced the benefits of having sound rowing technique – it was grueling. If you are struggling with the C-2, see Greg or Marianne and we will try to correct/improve your stroke.
We had a very nice turnout for the Hot COCO 5K Road Race in Cheshire (13 members and 1 prospect). In a pre-run photo during registration, pictured is Greg, Marianne, Jess, Josh, Chris, and Corey (who, although not officially yet a member, participated and says he will be joining “soon” — I will keep you posted on that developing story…) Missing from the photo — as we were all scattered about — is the Dennehy family, Larry and Tanner, Paul, Amy, and Pat.
The running Dennehys: Sierra, Lisa, and Jared (who ran a blistering 25 minute 5K, surprising everybody). Great job Jared!
The entire Dennehy family… A happy, attractive, athletic bunch all with the same last name and same great smile!
Post race shot of Josh, Marianne, Jess, and Paul.
Another post race shot, but on this one I was able to find some kind soul to snap the picture for us. A great day for a run: partly sunny, no wind, mid 50s, rolling course, and surrounded by a cross section of happy, healthy people. What a wonderful Saturday!
