Spend two days with John Welbourn and his team. The CrossFit Football Certification is an introduction to the CrossFit Football concepts, movements and level of intensity needed to be successful in training for sport. In the certification, participants will be provided with a foundation for training athletes. They will be taught the foundations of sport specific training; this includes sprinting, basic movements, warm up and cool down, change-of-direction and agility drills, jumping and weightlifting. Participants will be given information on programming, nutrition/diet, and film study. Film study is done to show the practical application of the CrossFit movements to football and other power sports.
This certification is presented by professional football player John Welbourn and his team. The CrossFit Football staff will include former and current NFL and NCAA football players, athletes and strength coaches. John is a CrossFit Level 2 instructor and creator of CrossFit Football. He was drafted with the 97th pick in 1999 NFL Draft. John went on to be a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles from1999-2003, appearing in 3 NFC Championship games, and for the Kansas City Chiefs from 2004-2007. In 2008, he played with the New England Patriots until an injury ended his season early. John as over 100 career starts and 10 playoff starts to his credit.
